Purpose

Stops are the individual pickup and drop points along a route โ€” each with a name, location, and expected time. A route is really just its stops in order, so setting these up accurately is what makes route timing and parent-facing pickup/drop estimates useful.

When to Use

  • When building out a new route for the first time.
  • When a stop location needs to be added, removed, or repositioned in the sequence.
  • When expected pickup or drop times need adjusting.

How to Use

  1. Open the route you want to manage from Routes, then go to its Stops section.

  2. Review the current stops in order, with their expected times.

  3. To add a stop, tap Add Stop, name it, set its location, and place it in the correct order along the route.

  4. Set the expected time for each stop โ€” this is what parents see as the estimated pickup or drop time.

  5. To reorder stops, adjust their sequence โ€” the vehicle will follow this order on its trip.

  6. Assign students to a specific stop from the student's profile or the route roster, so their parent sees the right pickup point.

TipKeep expected times realistic and slightly padded โ€” live tracking will show actual arrival against this estimate, and a too-tight estimate makes the bus look "late" even on a normal day.
Common MistakeRemoving a stop that students are currently assigned to will leave those students without a pickup point โ€” reassign them to another stop first.
