Purpose

The Parents module is where you manage parent (guardian) accounts and which student profiles they're linked to. A parent's account only shows data for the students linked to it, so keeping these links accurate is what keeps families seeing the right information in their app — attendance, fees, homework, and notices for their own child.

When to Use

  • When a new parent needs an account set up.
  • When a parent reports they can't see their child's information in the app.
  • When a family has more than one child at the school and both need to be linked to the same parent account.
  • When a parent's contact number or email changes.

How to Use

  1. Open Parents from the Admin Panel.

  2. Review the parent list, or search by name or linked student.

  3. To add a parent, tap Add Parent, enter their details, and save.

  4. To link a student, open the parent's profile and use Link Student to search for and attach the child's record — this is usually done from the Students module when enrolling a child, but can be managed here too.

  5. If a family has multiple children at the school, link each student to the same parent profile so they all appear together in the parent's app.

  6. Update contact details from the parent's profile whenever they change.

TipIf a parent says they're only seeing one of their two children in the app, it usually means the second child was linked to a different or duplicate parent profile — check for a duplicate before creating a new link.
Common MistakeDon't create a new parent account for someone who already has one just to link another child — this splits their information across two logins. Search for the existing account first.
