Attendance

Purpose
The Attendance module gives a School Admin a school-wide view of the attendance teachers mark every day โ which classes have been marked, who's absent, and how attendance rolls up into the monthly summary parents see in their app. Admins don't usually mark day-to-day attendance themselves (that's the Teacher's job, from My Classes โ Attendance), but they own the school-wide picture and step in when a class is missed.
When to Use
- Every morning, to confirm every class has been marked for the day.
- When a parent asks about their child's attendance and you need to check the record directly.
- At month-end, when generating attendance reports for management or compliance.
- When a teacher reports they marked attendance incorrectly and it needs correcting.
How to Use
-
Open Attendance from the Admin dashboard.
-
Pick a date โ today is selected by default. Classes that haven't been marked yet for that date are flagged so you can follow up with the teacher.

The Attendance overview screen, showing a list of classes with a marked/unmarked status badge next to each one.
-
Tap a class to see its student-by-student attendance for that day: Present, Absent, or Late, along with who marked it and when.
-
To correct an entry, open the class, select the student, and update their status. Larnup keeps the original entry and the correction both โ corrections don't silently overwrite history.
-
For a wider view, switch to the Monthly Summary tab to see each class's present/absent/late percentage for the month, which is the same summary parents see for their own child.
-
Use Export to download an attendance report (by class, by date range) for offline record-keeping.
