Bell Management

Purpose

Bell Management controls the school's daily bell schedule — the automatic bell that signals the start and end of each period. As School Admin, you configure the timing here once, and it runs automatically every school day. This is the same schedule that Teachers and Students experience as period-change bells in their own day, so getting the timings right here keeps the whole school in sync. On top of the regular schedule, there's an emergency "ring now" option for manual bells outside the normal timetable — a fire drill, an unscheduled assembly, or an early dismissal.

When to Use

• At the start of a term, to set up or adjust period start/end times for the school day.
• When the school schedule changes temporarily — a half day, an exam-day timetable, or a special event.
• When you need to trigger an unscheduled bell immediately, such as for an emergency or drill.
• When checking why a bell didn't ring as expected on a given day.

How to Use

1. Open Bell Management from the Admin dashboard.

2. Go to Schedule to set up period timings — start and end time for each period, plus breaks.

3. Save the schedule. It applies automatically going forward on regular school days.

4. For a special day (half day, exam schedule), create or switch to an alternate schedule rather than editing the regular one, so you can switch back afterward without re-entering the normal timings.

5. To trigger an unscheduled bell, use Ring Now — this rings immediately, independent of the configured schedule, for situations like drills or emergencies.
