Purpose
Classes represent the grade levels your school teaches — Class 5, Grade 10, and so on. They're one of the basic building blocks in Larnup: sections, timetables, subjects, and fee structures are all organized under a class. You'll typically set these up once at the start of using Larnup and rarely touch them again.
When to Use
- When setting up your school in Larnup for the first time.
- When your school adds a new grade level (for example, expanding to include Class 12).
- When you need to check which classes are currently active.
How to Use
-
Open Classes from the Admin Panel.
-
Review the existing list of classes.

-
To add a class, tap Add Class, enter its name (such as "Class 6"), and save.
-
To edit a class name, open it from the list and update the details.
-
To retire a class no longer in use, deactivate rather than delete it if it has historical student records attached.
TipSet up all your classes before creating sections or timetables — sections and timetables both depend on a class already existing.
Common MistakeDeleting a class that already has students or historical records linked to it can break those records — deactivate it instead so the history stays intact.
