Purpose

Reminder Management is where you, as School Admin, create reminders that get pushed directly to the right people — parents, teachers, or staff — depending on what the reminder is about. Unlike Announcements, which are general notices, reminders are targeted and often tied to a deadline: a fee due date, a homework submission, an attendance follow-up, an upcoming exam, or a payroll date. You can set a reminder as a one-off or make it recurring, so it keeps going out automatically without you having to recreate it every cycle.

This is different from Notifications, which covers the general push-notification system, and from Bell Management, which is about physical period bells — Reminder Management is specifically the admin's own tool for authoring nudges that land in a recipient's Reminder inbox.

When to Use

  • When a fee due date is approaching and you want to nudge parents who haven't paid yet.
  • When you want a recurring reminder — for example, a weekly homework reminder for a class, or a monthly payroll reminder for staff.
  • When an exam date is coming up and students or parents need a reminder to prepare or submit forms.
  • When following up on an attendance pattern that needs a nudge to a parent or teacher.

How to Use

  1. Open Reminder Management from the Admin dashboard and select New Reminder.

  2. Choose the reminder type — fee due, homework, attendance, exam, payroll, or a general custom reminder.

  3. Write the reminder message and choose who it should reach — parents, teachers, or staff, and optionally a specific class or group.

  4. Set it as a one-off reminder for a specific date, or make it recurring (daily, weekly, or monthly) if it's something that repeats each cycle.

  5. Save the reminder. It's delivered to the target role's Reminder inbox on the schedule you set — no need to resend it manually for recurring ones.

  6. Check the reminders list anytime to see what's active, edit a recurring reminder's schedule, or cancel one that's no longer needed.

TipUse recurring reminders for anything predictable, like monthly fee due dates — it's one setup instead of remembering to send the same reminder every month.
Common MistakeReview who a reminder targets before saving — a fee reminder accidentally sent to all parents instead of only those with dues outstanding will confuse families who've already paid.
