Live Bus Tracking
On this page
Purpose
The Transport tab shows you exactly where your child's school bus is, right now, on a live map โ so you're not left guessing whether it's running late or already gone past your stop. It's one of the more reassuring parts of the app: instead of waiting at the gate hoping, you can glance at your phone and see the bus's actual position and how long it should take to reach you.
For a deeper look at how live tracking, ETA, and stop notifications work behind the scenes across the whole school, see the Transport Guide. This page focuses on what you, as a parent, actually see and do.
When to Use
- Every school-day morning and afternoon, to time when you or your child should head to the bus stop.
- When the bus seems late and you want to check whether it's still on its way.
- To confirm your child's bus has safely reached school, or is on its way home.
- If you're unsure which stop or route your child is assigned to.
How to Use
-
Tap Transport in the bottom navigation bar.
-
You'll see a live map with your child's assigned bus shown as a moving marker, along with your child's stop marked on the route.

-
Check the estimated arrival time (ETA) shown on screen โ this updates as the bus moves, so it becomes more accurate the closer the bus gets.
-
If notifications are enabled, you'll get an alert when the bus is approaching your stop, so you don't need to keep the app open and watch the map continuously.
-
Tap the bus or route details for additional information, such as the driver's name or the stop sequence for that route.
-
If the map shows no live position (for example, before the bus has started its route), it typically shows the last known status instead โ check back closer to pickup time.
