Purpose

Payments is where you actually pay what's owed โ€” the act of checking out, as opposed to Fees, which shows you what's owed and why. Larnup processes fee payments through Razorpay, a widely used and secure payment gateway, so your card, UPI, or bank details are handled by Razorpay directly rather than stored by the school. This screen also keeps a running history of every payment you've made, with receipts you can pull up anytime.

When to Use

  • When an installment is due and you're ready to pay it.
  • To pay transport fee separately, if it's billed on its own schedule.
  • When you need a receipt for a past payment, for your own records or for reimbursement.
  • If a payment failed or seems stuck and you want to check its actual status.

How to Use

  1. From the Fee Portal, tap Pay Now on the installment (academic or transport) you want to pay โ€” this opens the Payments checkout for that amount.

  2. Review the amount and installment details shown before proceeding, since this is the amount that will actually be charged.

  3. Choose a payment method โ€” card, UPI, netbanking, or a saved method from a previous payment, depending on what's available.

  4. Complete the payment through the Razorpay checkout screen. This step is handled by Razorpay's secure flow, so you may be asked for an OTP or UPI PIN as part of standard bank verification.

  5. Once the payment succeeds, you'll see a confirmation, and the corresponding installment in the Fee Portal updates to paid.

  6. Go to Payment History to see every past payment, each with a status (successful, failed, or pending) and the option to view or download a receipt.

  7. Tap any past payment to open or download its receipt as a PDF, useful for your own records.

TipIf a payment seems to hang after you've completed it, check Payment History before retrying โ€” some payments take a short while to confirm, and paying twice for the same installment can create a refund hassle rather than solve anything.
Common MistakeIf a payment fails or is cancelled partway through, don't assume money was deducted just because your bank app showed a temporary hold โ€” check the payment status in Payment History, which reflects what Larnup and Razorpay actually recorded, before contacting your bank or the school.
