Purpose
The Student Spinner is a simple classroom tool for picking a student at random from a class roster — useful for cold-calling, choosing who answers next, or picking teams and turns without it looking like you're playing favorites. It keeps track of who's been picked during a session, so you can spin through a class fairly instead of relying on memory.
When to Use
- During class discussion, to pick who answers a question next.
- For quizzes or games where you need to pick students in a random but fair order.
- When assigning turns for a classroom activity and want it to feel unbiased.
- To check who you've already called on in a session, so you don't repeat the same few students.
How to Use
-
Open Spinner and select the class you're currently teaching.
-
Tap Spin to randomly select a student from that class's roster.

-
If the selected student is absent or you want to pick someone else, use Skip to draw again without losing track of who's already been picked.
-
Keep spinning through the period — the session keeps a running history so you can see who's already been picked.
-
When you're ready to start fresh (a new class, or a new day), tap Reset to clear the session history.
-
Check History at any time to see the order students were picked in during the current or a past session.
