Purpose

The Homework screen is where you post homework for a class and subject. Once you publish it, it becomes visible to parents in their app the same day, so they can see what their child needs to do without waiting for a note home. It's meant for day-to-day homework rather than long-term projects, though you can use it for either.

When to Use

  • At the end of a class period, to post what students should do before the next one.
  • When you need to update or correct homework you posted earlier in the day.
  • To review what homework you've already assigned across your classes for the week.

How to Use

  1. Open the Homework tab, or jump in from a class in My Classes.

  2. Select the class and subject you're assigning homework for.

  3. Type the homework description — what students need to do.

  4. Set a due date, and attach a file or image if the homework references a worksheet or reading material.

  5. Tap Post to publish. It becomes visible to parents of that class right away.

  6. To make a correction, open the same day's homework entry for that class and edit it — parents will see the updated version.

TipPosting homework right after class, while the details are fresh, is easier than trying to remember it all at the end of the day.
Common MistakeDouble-check you've selected the right class and section before posting — homework goes out to every parent in that class immediately, so a mix-up isn't just a note to yourself, it's a message to a whole classroom of families.
