Parent Subscription & Renewal

Purpose

The Parent premium subscription is an optional layer on top of the free app your school already gives you access to. This page walks through subscribing, what you get, how renewal works, and how to cancel if you decide to stop โ€” separate from your school's own plan, which your School Admin manages on their end.

When to Use

  • You're a Parent deciding whether to subscribe to premium features.
  • You want to know whether your subscription will renew automatically or needs manual action.
  • You're planning to cancel and want to know what to expect.
  • You're checking whether your subscription is currently active.

How to Use

  1. From the Parent app, open Subscription and review the plan details, then choose Subscribe.

  2. Complete checkout using either Razorpay (external browser) or Google Play, as described in Plans & Payment Methods.

  3. Once payment is confirmed, premium features unlock immediately โ€” you don't need to log out or restart the app.

  4. Check your renewal setting on the Subscription screen โ€” depending on how you subscribed, your plan may auto-renew at the end of each billing period, or require you to manually renew before it expires.

  5. If auto-renewal is on and you want to turn it off, you can do so from the Subscription screen (or from Google Play's subscription settings, if that's how you paid) โ€” this stops future charges without cutting off your current active period early.

  6. To cancel, use the Cancel Subscription option in the app, or manage it directly through Google Play if that's the path you originally used to subscribe.

  7. Review the Refund Policy before cancelling if you're expecting a refund for the current period.

TipIf you subscribed through Google Play, turning off auto-renewal or cancelling is often faster from Google Play's own subscription management screen than from within Larnup โ€” both stay in sync, but Google Play is the source of truth for that payment path.
TipCheck your renewal date a few days ahead if you're on manual renewal โ€” unlike auto-renewal, nothing happens automatically, so premium access will simply lapse if you don't renew in time.
Common MistakeCancelling doesn't necessarily end premium access immediately โ€” in most cases you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for. Check the Subscription screen for your exact access end date after cancelling.
Common MistakeSubscribing again after a lapse starts a new subscription rather than resuming the old one โ€” if you cancelled by mistake, resubscribe promptly to minimize the gap in access.
